What is it like to experience a touch of the Holy Spirit?
I have seen people, even my own relatives being touched by the Holy Spirit. But they are not able to describe ehat it feels like to be touched. I understand that there are many Christians out there who also received a touch. I would like to know what they experience when the receive the touch of the Holy Spirit.
Please spare the dirty and sarcastic comments. I need an honest answer.
Most people, when they claim that they have been “touched” by the Holy Spirit, are really describing an emotional experience, and confusing that with a spiritual one. That may be why they cannot explain it — it is often hard to describe feelings. However, feeling good is not the same thing as being spiritual.
If you ask Jesus to fill you with the Holy Spirit, then he promised that he would. There is no guarantee that you would necessarily “feel” different.
Different people have different experiences. What God gives you seems to depend on what God thinks that you need at the moment.

There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men.
Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines.

One thing is for sure: if you have been filled by the Holy Spirit, then your CHARACTER should be different. The Holy Spirit’s main job is to make you more like Christ.
Anyone who claims that they have been touched by the Holy Spirit, but does not act differently, is lying. No one who has been filled by the Spirit of God can easily sin.
