What is the difference between poems about your country, and other poems?

well, i guess you’re talking about the subject of poems. so, well poems can be about anything really. it’s just that poems about the poet’s country tend to be very nationalistic, meaning they’ll describe how proud they are of their country, how great it is, how great the people and the nature and the influence of the country is. that’s just the gist of those types of poems

other poems however, can be really different. they can talk about love, sadness, loss, joy, peace, tranquility, and rage. they can be about other people, about nature, about animals, and can take on any sort of tone.
